SAFETY FIRST. All guides are
experienced, trained, certified and caring . Akuadventures
owner and lead guide “Buddy” as his friends and family call
him, has years of experience teaching water rescue, kayaking and
canoeing to firefighters, police officers, EMS personal and
military from many parts of the world including the lower 48
states, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, Germany,
France, Austria, Italy, and Spain. Buddy also was on the
“ Olympic Whitewater Rescue Team”
as a Whitewater Rescue Kayaker for the
1996 Atlanta Olympic Games,
and a Whitewater Rescue team member as a Rescue Kayaker for the
United States Olympic Team Trials

Buddy has been involved in over 300 water rescues and has over
2000 hours of volunteer time in environmental cleaning projects
of rivers and lakes. Buddy also is a rock climbing and rope
rescue instructor and has certification in but not limited to:
Coastal Kayaking-Instructor, River Canoeing Tandem and Solo
-Instructor, Flatwater Canoeing Tandem and Solo -Instructor,
Swift Water Rescue for Paddlers-Instructor, Instructor River

Scuba Diver (PADI), Red Cross Advanced CPR, Red Cross Advanced
